Beadwell Privacy Policy

Beadwell is a children's math practice app published by Carunel LLC. This privacy policy explains what data the app handles and how.

In this policy, "Carunel Studio," "we," "our," and "us" refer to Carunel LLC.

The short version

Beadwell is designed to work offline. The app stores practice data and settings locally on your device. We do not operate servers that receive or store your data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking.

What data the app stores on your device

Beadwell stores the following data locally on the device where the app is installed. None of this data is sent to Carunel Studio or any third party.

Practice data

• Session history (which activities were practiced, accuracy, duration)
• Skill progress and mastery levels
• Curriculum position and recommendations
• Parent-facing progress reports and session summaries

Settings and preferences

• Grade level, session length, encouragement style
• Audio and display preferences
• Optional companion character selection and character name
• Optional names or labels chosen by the parent (such as reward names or custom text)

Child profile information

• An optional display name or nickname chosen by the parent (not required)
• A visual bead avatar (abstract shape, color, and style selections — not a photo)
• Grade level

Parent-created content

• Custom practice missions, which may include a title, message text, sender name, encouragement text, or reward labels chosen by the parent
• Celebration media (photos or videos) that the parent adds from the device gallery for display during milestone moments

All of this data is stored only on the device. It is not transmitted to Carunel Studio or any third party.

What we do not do

Beadwell is designed to operate without transmitting, collecting, or processing data on external servers. Specifically:

• We do not require or support user accounts
• We do not transmit personal information to our servers or any third party
• We do not use analytics or crash reporting services
• We do not display advertising or use advertising SDKs
• We do not use cookies or tracking technologies
• In normal use, the app does not send data to Carunel Studio servers or third parties
• We do not share data with third parties

Any data described in the previous section is stored locally on your device and is not accessible to Carunel Studio.

Data that may leave your device

The only way data leaves the device is through explicit parent action:

• Data export: Parents can export practice data as a file using the device's built-in share functionality. The parent chooses where to send the file. Beadwell does not control or monitor what happens after the file leaves the app.
• Celebration media: Photos and videos added by the parent are stored locally. They are not uploaded or shared by the app. If a parent uses the device's share functionality outside the app, that is outside Beadwell's control.

The app is not designed to perform automatic uploads, background transmissions, or server connections.

Celebration photos and videos

Parents may optionally add photos or videos from the device gallery to a celebration media library within Beadwell. These are used to display personal moments (such as family photos) to the child during milestone celebrations.

• Media files are copied into the app's local storage on the device
• They are not uploaded, transmitted, or processed externally
• They can be removed individually from within the app
• They are permanently deleted when the parent uses the "Reset Everything" option in Settings
• A privacy notice is shown within the app before the parent adds media for the first time

How to delete data

Parents can manage all app data from within Settings:

• Reset Progress: Removes practice history, skill progress, and celebration media. Keeps child profiles and parent settings.
• Reset Everything: Removes all app data and returns the app to its initial state.
• Remove a child profile: Deletes that child's profile and associated data.
• Uninstalling the app: Removes all app data from the device, including any locally stored celebration media.

Children's privacy

Beadwell is designed for use by children ages 5 to 9, with parent involvement in setup and configuration.

The app is designed to operate without transmitting data to external servers, does not require accounts, and does not ask children for personal information. Children interact with practice activities only — all setup, naming, and media management is done by parents.

Any display names, messages, or photos within the app are entered by the parent, stored only on the local device, and never transmitted to Carunel Studio or any third party.

Because Beadwell does not collect, use, or disclose personal information from any user, it is designed to operate consistently with the United States Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and similar children's privacy regulations in other regions.

Third-party services

Beadwell does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, social media, or cloud services. In normal use, Beadwell does not send app data to Carunel Studio servers or third parties.

Changes to this policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated through the app or its store listing.
